On Windows 11, you can change the Dynamic Lighting effects to match your RGB peripherals with the Windows 11 accent color, and in this guide, you will learn how. Dynamic Lighting is a feature that Microsoft is still working on that is meant to end the fragmentation of third-party apps and integrations of RGB lighting accessories for Windows 11 devices. The feature will allow users to effortlessly set up and customize their peripherals with RGB lights directly from the Settings app using standardized RGB controls.

As part of the implementation, the feature includes different effects that you can choose from, and the company even includes an option that lets you match your peripheral’s RGB lighting with the current Windows 11 accent color.

This guide will teach you the steps to configure Dynamic Lighting to match the Windows 11 accent color on your RGB accessories on Windows 11.

Once you complete the steps, the RGB lighting on your accessories (keyboard, mouse, speakers, monitor, etc.) will change automatically according to the system accent color.

You can also open Settings > Personalization > Colors, and under the “Accent color” setting, choose the “Automatic” option to change the color based on the primary colors of the desktop wallpaper. Furthermore, on Settings > Personalization > Background, you can choose the “Windows Spotlight” option to rotate different background images throughout the day, which will also result in dynamically changing the lighting colors in your peripherals.
