How to set Google as default search engine on Microsoft Edge for Android

If you're a Microsoft Edge user on Android, you can change the default search engine to Google, if that's something that you prefer, and here's how to do it.

You just installed the Microsoft Edge browser on your Android phone, and as you do a search you find out that the results are presented by Bing. Although Bing is a great search engine, if you prefer the results from Google, you can change the settings quite easily when using the Microsoft’s browser.

In this guide, you’ll learn the steps to change the default search engine on Microsoft Edge for Android to Google.

How to search with Google on Microsoft Edge for Android

In order to change the default search engine to Google when using Microsoft Edge on Android, do the following:

  1. Open Microsoft Edge.

  2. Tap the menu (three-dot) button at the bottom-right corner.

  3. Tap on Settings.

  4. Tap on Default search engine.

  5. Select Google from the list of available search engines.

Once you’ve completed the steps, moving forward when doing a web search Microsoft Edge will use Google instead of Bing.
