On Windows 10 version 1809 (October 2018 Update) there’s a new clipboard experience that allows you to save multiple items and sync them across devices.

However, if the new experience (Windows key + V) is not for you, it’s possible to disable and keep using the traditional clipboard on Windows 10.

In this guide, you’ll learn the step to completely disable the clipboard experience introduced with Windows 10 version 1809.

How to disable clipboard experience using Settings

In order to disable the new clipboard experience introduced with the October 2018 Update, do the following:

  1. Open Settings.

  2. Click on System.

  3. Click on Clipboard.

  4. Turn off the Save multiple items toggle switch.

Once you’ve completed the steps, only the clipboard experience to save multiple items will be disabled, but the traditional clipboard will continue to be available to cut and paste as normal.

If you don’t see this feature, it’s because you’re not running the version of Windows 10 that supports this feature. The clipboard experience to save multiple items is expected to arrive with the Windows 10 October 2018 Update.
