Microsoft Edge now lets you sync your web history across devices, and here’s how you enable the feature. Although the ability to sync your browser data has been available for some time, it was limited, and web history wasn’t one of the option.
Starting with the latest version of the Edge browser in the Dev channel, Microsoft is enabling the option to sync your web activities history to your Microsoft account, and then to your other devices, making it easier to pick up websites you were browsing on other computers.
However, since this option could be considered a privacy concern, it’s an optional feature that you must enable manually.
In this guide, you’ll learn the steps to sync your web history on Microsoft Edge for Windows 10.
How to enable history sync on Microsoft Edge
To sync your browser history across your devices, use these steps:

Open Microsoft Edge.
Quick note: This feature is still under development, as such you’ll need to download and install the Dev or Canary version of the browser. You can also watch this video tutorial to learn how to set up the feature. -
Click the Settings and more (three-dotted) button in the top-right corner.

Click on Settings.

Click on Profiles.

Click the Sync option.

Click the Turn on sync button (if applicable).

Click the Confirm button.

Turn on the History toggle switch.

Once you complete the steps, the web browser history will upload and sync across all your devices connected with the same Microsoft account. If you use different accounts, you can create a new profile using these instructions. You may also want to repeat the instructions on the other devices you want to review your web history.
After enabling the feature, you can use the Ctrl + H keyboard shortcut (or use the edge://history/all link in the address bar) to access all the history page, where you’ll find the websites you visits across your devices.
Alongside the ability to enable sync for history, you can also now enable sync for open tabs, which allows you to pick up website where you left off on other devices.
