For $999, you can now get a Surface Pro with a Core i5, 128GB SSD, and 8GB of RAM.

Surface Pro (2017)

Alongside the models already available, Microsoft is now introducing a new Surface Pro tablet model that starts at $999.

The new system configuration was first spotted by Neowin, and according to the Microsoft Store, it comes with an Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB of memory, and 128GB of internal storage.

Microsoft is currently offering a Surface Pro model featuring an Intel Core i5 processor, 4GB of memory, and 128GB, which sells for $799, but it appears to be sold out everywhere. This could indicate that the company plans to fade out the 4GB model for the 8GB model.

Just remember that the Surface Pro still includes a 7th Generation processor, not the 8th Generation.

The new model also happens to appear after the company started selling its Surface Pro with LTE Advanced for $1449 in the United States, Canada, and Australia. This model features a 7th Generation Core i5 Intel processor, 8GB of memory, 256GB of internal storage, and of course with a Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X16 LTE modem for LTE connectivity.
