Windows 10 Creators Update new OOBE

Windows 10 Creators Update: new out-of-box experience (OOBE) with Cortana walkthrough

Windows 10 makes it easier for anyone to go through the initial configuration process.

Alongside all the new features and improvements, in the Windows 10 Creators Update, Microsoft is also introducing a much more simplified out-of-box experience (OOBE).

The out-of-box experience on Windows 10 is the experience users have to go through to configure their devices for the first time. In this new update, the OOBE has been overhauled to make it super easy for anyone to independently complete the Windows 10 setup.

In this hands-on video, you’ll see a walkthrough of the updated experience featuring Cortana, which now will help you every step of the way to configure Windows 10, even with voice commands.

You’ll also notice a new sign-in and sign-up screen to create a Windows 10 account, but Microsoft is making a bit less intuitive for users to create a local account without a Microsoft account.

OOBE on the Windows 10 Creators Update features a new simplified privacy settings page and combines the express and custom setup into a single experience.
