Microsoft is now rolling out the November 2022 update for Xbox Series X and S consoles with the features and improvements and some changes for the Xbox One.

According to the official changes, the Xbox November 2022 update brings the ability to connect your Discord voice channels directly from the console, updates to notifications for wish list gifting and sale, improvements to the Captures app, and more.

In the past, joining the voice channel involved using your phone or computer to transfer the Discord call. Starting with this update, you can join a Discord call directly from your Xbox console using the Parties and Chats menu.

Also, the noise suppression on Discord will be abled by default to produce clear audio without background noises on Xbox Series X, S, and one.

The update also introduces an updated version of the Captures app with improvements for managing, editing, and viewing game clips, and you will now be able to transfer captures to an external hard drive.

Furthermore, on Xbox Series X and S, you will be able to record in 720p and 1080p with improved quality and higher bitrate.

The November update also includes changes to start Twitch, Steamlabs, and Lightstream directly from the console.

Microsoft is even improving the notifications when you share your wish list from the console or Xbox website so whomever you send the wish list so they can easily buy and send you the gift. In addition, you will now find pop-up and in-guide notifications when a game in your list goes on sale.

In the Settings app, more specifically on the Power options, you can compare the power use of your console in either Shutdown (energy saving) or Sleep mode. On new consoles, the default will be Shutdown (energy saving).

Also, Microsoft has added the ability to customize the power options with the ability to turn off the console after a specified period of inactivity. And there’s a new “Recommendations” section with a summary of things to get the most out of Xbox.

Finally, the Xbox Assist app has been renamed to “Xbox Support,” which also introduces an updated design, and articles are now scrollable.
