UPDATED 9/23/2023: Windows 11 23H2 is the second feature update for the operating system arriving before the end of 2023, and in this guide, you will learn the steps to determine if the new version is already installed on your desktop computer, laptop, or tablet.
Although devices receive a new feature update every year, you won’t find the update’s name anywhere in the system. However, each release receives an identification number that allows you to determine the name and version number. For example, in 2023, the most significant update is known as version 23H2, which reflects the year (23) and part of the year (H2 or second half) that usually indicates when the company plans to roll it out.
To confirm the version of Windows 11 23H2 installed on your computer, you can use the “winver” command and the “About” settings page.
This guide will teach you the steps to confirm if Windows 11 23H2 is already installed on your device.
- Check if Windows 11 23H2 is installed from winver
- Check if Windows 11 23H2 is installed from Settings
