WSATools is a non-Microsoft application that makes it easy to sideload Android apps outside the Amazon Appstore on Windows 11. Although Microsoft has released its first preview of the Windows Subsystem for Android (WSA) to run Android apps on Windows 11, you are limited to installing apps from the Amazon Appstore. A decision that was not entirely well-received by many users since the store doesn’t provide the same apps available in the Google Play Store.
Alternatively, it’s possible to sideload Android apps on Windows 11, but it requires extra steps and commands that not many users feel comfortable doing. However, the WSATools app (developed by @Simizfo) aims to be an app to make it easy to sideload apps without the need for complicated commands or additional installs, such as the ADB tools.
The only caveat is that you will be able to install any app from any source, but only as long as the app doesn’t require the Google Play Services, which is currently not supported in the Windows Subsystem for Android. Though, you can use these instructions to get around this limitation.
The WSATools app is already listed in the Microsoft Store, and it is expected to be fully available soon.
