On Windows 10, Timeline is an experience available since the release of the April 2018 Update (version 1803), which allows you to get back to activities you’re working in the past on any device using the same Microsoft account.
However, you’re only able to resume devices activities from your PC, but now, Timeline is coming to Microsoft Launcher for Android phones, and iPhone users will be getting the feature through a Microsoft Edge update.
This means that you’ll now have the ability to pick up where you left off on your PC as well as on your phone. Though, you’ll only be able to resume activities as long as you have the app corresponding app to pick up where you left off.
The news was revealed by Joe Belfiore, corporate vice president of Windows, at the official Microsoft website.
Here’s a Microsoft demo that shows off Timeline on the Windows 10 April 2018 Update.
Belfiore also said their launcher for Android will soon support “Enterprise customers with easy access to line of business applications via Microsoft Intune.” In addition, the company revealed “Your Phone,” a new app for Windows 10 that allows you read and reply text messages, drag and drop pictures, and see all your notifications.
While the company hasn’t mentioned when Timeline will arrive to mobile devices, it’s expected to be sometime soon, and we’ll hear more during the Build 2018 developer conference.
