Google recently released Android 10, and now, the company is ready to bring the dark mode to more apps, including for the Google app, Assistant, and Gmail.
The new color scheme option allows users to switch from the traditional white color on the screen to a completely dark color with white text, which makes easier on the eyes and save battery, specially on OLED screens.
However, Google seems to be staging the rollout as only a number of users (see here too) are seeing the new option, which means that updating the apps to the latest version doesn’t ensure that the dark mode will be available.
If you want to check whether the dark theme is available on your device, you can open the Google app Settings, go to General, and then on Theme, you should be able to enable the “dark” mode as well as light and battery saver.
