Microsoft is building Cloud PC service on its Azure cloud

Microsoft Cloud PC is a new service that virtualizes the Windows 10 desktop experience and apps using the Azure cloud, and it could be available in spring 2021.

Microsoft is reportedly planning to virtualize the Windows 10 desktop experience on its Azure cloud and offer it as a service known as “Cloud PC.”

According to a new report from ZDNet, Microsoft is creating a virtualization service for organizations who want to use their own devices as a thin clients with Windows 10, Office, and possibly other software delivered from the Azure cloud.

The report also says that a job posting reveals that the company is expected to make Cloud PC available through Microsoft 365, and the virtual machines will be managed by Microsoft and offered for a flat per user price.

It’s yet unclear when Microsoft is planning to introduce the new Cloud PC service, but it could happen as early as spring 2021.
