Copilot upgrades to GPT-4 Turbo and DALL-E 3 from OpenAI

Copilot is getting super charge with new AI models for accurate results in complex tasks, higher quality images, and better rewrites from the webs.

Microsoft has announced plans to upgrade its Copilot with OpenAI’s GPT-4 Turbo and DALL-E 3 to improve the overall functionality of the service drastically. The update is expected to start rolling out in the coming weeks, but the company is testing these changes with a select group of testers.

GPT-4 Turbo is the latest generative language AI model from OpenAI that will allow Copilot to work on more complex tasks that would otherwise be almost impossible. In context, the previous version of the language model permitted up to 50 pages of text for data input, but the new version allows up to 300 pages. This will allow the chatbot to provide more accurate responses.

DALL-E 3 is an image model that can be prompted with text to create images with higher quality than ever before. The new model also can generate more accurate results with this version. The Microsoft Bing Image Creator with DALL-E 3 is available now.

In addition, Microsoft is also gearing up to introduce a few new features for Copilot, including the “Inline Compose” that will allow you to write from most websites quickly by selecting a block of text and prompting Copilot to rewrite it for you. The company is expected to make this feature available through Microsoft Edge soon.

Copilot is getting a new “Code Interpreter” feature that will allow users to perform advanced coding and complex tasks, such as accurate calculations, visualization, and data analysis. This feature is still available in the beta and should roll out soon.

Finally, the company is also updating its Bing search engine with GPT-4, which brings the term “Deep Search,” which, in short, allows the service to answer complex queries more accurately by analyzing the search query, searching for multiple variations of the query simultaneously, and removing needless information for a more comprehensive result. This feature is also coming soon.

These new features and capabilities will be available for Copilot on the web, Microsoft Edge, Microsoft 365, and Windows 11 and 10.
