The Sound Recorder app is straightforward. You only need to click the “Record” button and the “Stop” button to stop the recording. You can add marks, share, or delete the file. You can even import files to listen to with the app.

According to Microsoft, the app is available for testers with devices enrolled in the Dev Channel of the Windows Insider Program as a preview through the Microsoft Store. If you want to give it a try, open the Voice Recorder app from the Start menu to trigger the download of the new app. In the case that the app doesn’t update to the latest version, you can try updating it from the Microsoft Store.
