Surface Pro 8 is here, and it’s the tablet that we have been waiting for. Although it still retains the classic look, Microsoft has redesigned the tablet in almost every aspect.
The new tablet incorporates many of the design elements of the Surface Pro X. The Surface Pro 8 features a 13-inch screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, but it can go down to 60Hz with the dynamic refresh rate feature on Windows 11 to help with battery life, and since the screen is larger, the bezels are a lot thinner.
You will notice that corners are more rounded that follows the new design of Windows 11. This time around, the company is ditching the USB-A ports in favor of two USB 4.0 with Thunderbolt 4 support. And the chassis is now made from more recycled aluminum instead of magnesium.
As for the rest of the tech specs, Microsoft is loading the Surface Pro 8 with up to a Quad-core 11th Gen Intel Core i7-1185G7 Processor, up to 32GB of memory, Intel Iris Xe Graphics, and removable storage of up to 1TB SSD. Also, the company claims up to 16 hours of battery life.

Although the Surface Pro Signature Keyboard is sold separately, it now comes with the Surface Slim Pen 2. The keyboard now charges the pen, similar to the Surface Pro X, and it includes a slot to carry it. Also, the new Pen 2 features a haptic motor to mimic the feeling of writing on paper, and it reduces latency for better precision.
