Windows 11 build 22623.1830 (KB5026443) rolls out in Beta Channel

A new preview arrives in the Beta Channel with minor changes and improvements.

Windows 11 build 22623.1830 (KB5026443) is now rolling out with new features enabled by default, and the preview build 22621.1830 (KB5026443) with features turned off by default for computers enrolled in the Beta Channel.

Build 22623.1830 for Windows 11, and according to the official changes, it only introduces WPA3 support to the Phone Link instant hotspot feature for more secure connections to a phone’s hotspot. Also, the company made fixes to respect metered connection settings, reduce duplicate profiles, and show the phone’s display name in the network list. (Microsoft is not noting anything new for build 22621.1830)

This update changes the build number once again from build 22624 to 22631 through an enablement package. The enablement package artificially increments the build number for the update with new features getting rolled out and turned on to make it easier to differentiate from devices with the update with features off by default.

Install build 22623.1830

To download and install the Windows 11 build 22623.1830, enroll your device in the Beta Channel using the “Windows Insider Program” settings from the “Update & Security” section.

Once you enroll the computer in the program, you can download build 22623.1830 from the “Windows Update” settings by clicking the “Check for Updates” button. However, you will need a device that meets the minimum system requirements to receive the update if you are new to the Windows Insider Program. If the device receives build 22621.1830, you can turn on the “Get the latest updates as soon as they’re available” toggle switch to switch to build 22623.1830.
