Microsoft is rolling out Windows 11 build 22624.1755 (KB5026438) with new features enabled by default and the preview build 22621.1755 (KB5026438) with features turned off by default for computers enrolled in the Beta Channel.

Build 22624.1755 and 22621.1755 for Windows 11, and according to the official changes, it introduces a specific fix for the Windows Local Administrator Password Solution (LAPS) and addresses problems with the Settings app and input features.

As part of the fixes and other improvements for both builds, the company says that the update fixes a “race condition in Windows Local Administrator Password Solution (LAPS). The Local Security Authority Subsystem Service (LSASS) might stop responding. This occurs when the system processes multiple local account operations at the same time. The access violation error code is 0xc0000005.”

  • Settings should no longer crash when attempting to uninstall an app while using grid view.

  • Fixed an issue where the Pinyin IME’s insert text button wasn’t displaying correctly in some cases.

In addition to the improvements, Microsoft is also warning about some known issues with the Taskbar search experience and Widgets.
