Windows 10 build 19608 releases in the Fast ring

Microsoft is pushing a new preview of Windows 10 (build 19608) in the Fast ring with improvements for the Settings app.

Windows 10 build 19608 is now rolling out for PCs enrolled in the Fast ring of the Windows Insider Program. This is the preview number 14 that Microsoft is making available for testers, and it’s a small update that brings minor changes.

According to the software giant, Windows 10 build 19608 introduces the ability to search the lists of file types, protocols, and apps when setting a default application.

In addition, this flights packs a bunch of fixes for Sticky Notes, language, and Snip & Sketch. The update also resolves an issue with Task Manager not showing the correct icon for Microsoft and improves the performance when loading the Windows Update history page.

The preview is available immediately through the Fast ring. This preview build will download and install automatically on your device, but you can always force the update from Settings > Update & security > Windows Update, and clicking the Check for updates button.
