Microsoft is now releasing Windows 10 build 19577 for PCs enrolled in the Fast ring of the Windows Insider Program. This is the ninth preview available for testers with new changes and improvements expected to arrive in future versions.

Windows 10 build 19577 is a small update that brings changes to the diagnostic settings to increase transparency on the data that Microsoft collects about devices. For example, starting with this flight, the “Basic diagnostic data” is now known as “Required diagnostic data” and “Full diagnostic data” has changed to “Optional diagnostic data.”

If you use the “Optional diagnostic data” option, then you can also control the data you send to Microsoft more granularly using Group Policy.

Microsoft continues updating the icons for its apps, and on build 19577, the Windows Security app ships with a new modern icon using the Fluent Design System.

Alongside the new changes, the company is also updating the Cortana app to focus more in productivity, and in this flight, the assistant conversation mode is online.

Finally, the Recovery settings have been updated so that when trying to enter into the Advanced startup mode with while Narrator is enabled, now the system will successfully reboot into the Windows Recovery Environment.

Microsoft is listing the complete set of improvements, fixes, and known issues for Windows 10 Insider Preview build 19577 at the Windows Blog.
