Windows 10 20H2 build 19042.423 releases in the Beta Channel

Another preview for Windows 10 20H2 (build 19042.423) releases in the Beta Channel with a slew of fixes and re-introduces several new features.

As part of the Windows 10 version 20H2 development, Microsoft is now rolling out build 19042.423 in the Beta Channel of the Windows Insider Program. This is the fourth preview available to testers as update KB4568831, and it’s a re-release of build 19042.421 with a slew of fixes.

Windows 10 build 19042.423, according to the software giant, enables the new Start menu visual design, personalized taskbar for new accounts, introduces tweaks for Settings and notifications, and a lot more.

In addition, this flight ships with an extensive list of fixes. For instance, build 19042.423 fixes problem with parity with Storage Spaces that caused data integrity issues, and now, users can create storage pools from Control Panel again.

The update also addresses printing problems with network printers, internet connectivity with some cellular modems, darker than usual high dynamic range for certain content, pasting content from Word into IE, and more.

The Windows 10 version 2004 and 20H2 are both in the same development cadence, as a result the update KB4568831 is available for both versions, but the new features and improvements are only available for version 20H2.
