Microsoft is rolling out a new update (version 2307.40000.5.0) for its Windows Subsystem for Android (WSA) on Windows 11. The update is available in all the channels from the Windows Insider Program and includes several fixes and changes to help improve Android apps on Windows 11.
According to the announcement, the update introduces various fixes and improvements regarding stability and security. The update also updates the Chromium WebView to version 115.
Also, as part of the changes, this update rolls out a preview of the Vulkan API, which is an open standard cross-platform graphics API that allows the graphics card to access graphics and compute resources close to bare metal, delivering faster performance and improvements for image quality.
The open-standard Vulkan is supported on Windows 11, 10, 8.1, 7, and Linux and on Nvidia and AMD cards.
