  • Discord voice chat arrives on the Xbox dashboard.
  • The feature is available in the Beta ring available with complex setup requirements.
  • The Discord voice integration is available on Xbox One, Series X, and S.

Microsoft and Discord have recently revealed that the voice chat platform is coming to the Xbox dashboard, and now, Insiders can test the new feature in the latest Beta ring without needing an invite.

The update with support for Discord voice chat is available for Xbox One and Xbox Series X and S. If you want to try the integration, you must enroll the console in the Xbox Insider Program. After that, You need to link your Xbox and Discord accounts, connect the Discord voice call with the mobile app, and transfer the call to the console.

Since there’s no dedicated Discord app, integrating this feature is perhaps the most complicated process. However, after the initial setup, the process is more straightforward. You only need to use the mobile app to start the voice chat and transfer it to the Xbox console.

During gameplay, you can see who is on the call and speaking. You’ll also be able to adjust the sound and switch between Discord and Xbox game chat through the Discord integration in the dashboard, specifically in the “Parties & chats” tab.

The Discord voice integration is available immediately for the Xbox dashboard for consoles enrolled in the Beta ring. Once the feature gets through all the development phases (Delta, Omega, etc.), we can expect the company to begin the official rollout.
