Microsoft is now rolling out Windows 11 build 22000.184 (KB5005642) for PCs enrolled in the Beta Channel of the Windows Insider Program. This is a minor update for the version expected to arrive on October 5, and it does not include any new features. Instead, this flight ships with a couple of fixes and several known issues.
Windows 11 build 22000.184, according to the software giant, resolves a specific problem with the out-of-box experience for non-English languages and fixes an issue where a small set of languages were missing translations across the experience.
As part of the Windows 11 known issues, build 22000.184 may now show the modern Taskbar and Start menu, and Surface Pro X may experience Blue Screen of Death errors.
Sometimes, in the Start menu, you might be unable to enter text when using Search from Start or the Taskbar. Also, System and Windows Terminal are missing when right-clicking on the Start button (Windows key + X).
The Taskbar will sometimes flicker when switching input methods.
In the Search experience, after clicking the Search icon on the Taskbar, the interface may not open. In addition, the Search panel might appear black and not display any content below the search box.
For Widgets, the board may appear empty or appear on the wrong side on external monitors.
If you use Windows Sandbox, the language input switcher does not launch after clicking the switcher icon on the Taskbar. The IME context menu does not launch after clicking the IME icon in the Taskbar.
