Windows 10 update KB5007186 outs for versions 21H1, 20H2, 2004

The November 2021 Patch Tuesday has arrived for all releases of Windows 10, and here's all you need to know.

  • The update KB5007186 arrives for Windows 10 21H1, 20H2, and 2004.
  • The patch fixes rendering problems with certain apps.
  • Oldervers received update KB5007189, KB5007206, KB5007192, and KB5007207.

Microsoft is now rolling out the update KB5007186 for devices running Windows 10 version 21H1, 20H2, and 2004. Similar to the maintenance update for Windows 11, the one for Windows 10 is also a tiny release that includes only one fix.

According to the official notes, the update KB5007186 bumps the version number to build 19041.1348, 19042.1348, and 19043.1348 for versions 2004, 20H2, and 21H1, respectively, and it fixes an issue of a 0 (zero) width Pen to render one pixel regardless of transformation.

On the other hand, Windows 10 version 1909 is getting the update KB5007189, which increases the version number to 18363.1916 and fixes several problems regarding printer installation using the Internet Printing Protocol (IPP) and issue of a 0 (zero) width Pen to render one pixel regardless of transformation. It also enhances Microsoft Defender to better identify and intercept ransomware and advanced attacks, and more.

Windows 10 version 1809 is getting a similar update, but it also fixes a printer problem, the issue with Failover Clustering from updating Domain Name Server (DNS) records, and bumps the version number to build 17763.2300.

Also, Windows 10 version 1607 is getting the update KB5007192, which bumps the version number to build 14393.4770 and fixes a couple of problems.

Finally, the original version of Windows 10 is getting the update KB5007207. The patch increases the version number to build 10240.19119 and addresses a couple of problems.

These updates are available immediately, and they will download and install automatically. However, you can always force the update from Settings Update & Security > Windows Update and click the Check for updates button. Alternatively, you can download the update KB5007186 directly from the Microsoft Update Catalog website.
