Windows 10 update KB4601382 is now available as a preview for versions 20H2 and 2004. This is currently an optional update part of the February 2021 “C” release, and it includes non-security patches that Microsoft plans to make available during the next Patch Tuesday update.
The update KB4601382 bumps the version number to build 19041.844 and 19042.844 for Windows 10 version 2004 and 20H2. According to the company, the update fixes unexpected screens during the Out of Box Experience (OOBE), incorrect refresh rates available for high dynamic range (HDR) displays in the Advanced display settings, video playback flickering on low-latency monitors, and incorrect language after changing the system locale.
The update addresses screen rendering after opening games with specific hardware configurations and problems with the Input Method Editor (IME). Also, KB4601382 makes it possible to display proper Envelope media type as a selectable output paper type for Universal Print queues and adds support for hole punch and stapling locations for print jobs with long edge first paper feed direction.
