Microsoft is making available Windows 10 build 18242 for devices in the Fast ring with the Skip Ahead option of the Windows Insider Program. This is the sixth preview rolling out as part of the 19H1 (version 1903) development expected to arrive sometime in spring 2019.

Windows 10 build 18242, according to the company, doesn’t introduce new features or big improvements, but it delivers a slew of fixes for the desktop experience, Settings app, nearby sharing, Bluetooth, hibernation, and Windows Hello. Also, it addresses unexpectedly increased use of battery with certain apps, problems with apps crashes, and a lot more.

As for improvements, starting with build 18242, the Emoji Panel is now draggable if you would like to move it to a different position.

Although there are no significant improvements in this release, Microsoft is expected to start rolling out new builds with new features specific for the 19H1 development in the coming weeks.

If you want to get an early start with the next version of Windows 10, you need to change your device settings to enroll in the Skip Ahead lane as soon as possible as it’s an option available for a limited time for a limited number of participants.
