Microsoft is now rolling out build 17046 as part of the Windows 10 version 1803 (Redstone 4) development for computers enrolled in the Fast ring and using the Skip Ahead option. This is a minor update, but it introduces a new set of features, improvements, and a lot of new fixes.
Windows 10 Insider Preview build 17046, according to the company, delivers new options in the Start menu, improvements for emoji, on-screen keyboard, and Microsoft Edge gets new form fill options.
What’s new on Windows 10 build 17046
Start menu
In this flight, the Start menu gets updated and adds new options to access settings from Microsoft Store apps. Simply right-click a tile, select More, and click Settings to access the app’s settings page with option to repair, manage app add-ons, and see startup tasks (if available).
Emoji panel
The Emoji data on build 17046 received an important refresh more of the emoji you love will appear as you’re typing related words with the touch keyboard. In addition, there is support for more languages that didn’t previously support emoji candidates.
Also, Microsoft tweaked the design of the Emoji Panel so that after opening up the panel by pressing hotkey Windows logo key + “.” or “;”, you can browse, search and then select more than one emoji, and the panel won’t go away until you click close button or press “Esc” key.
Touch keyboard
The on-screen keyboard on Windows 10 (build 17046) is now available for Tamil language called Tamil 99, as well as updated Sinhala, Myanmar, and Amharic keyboards.
The Sinhala and Myanmar keyboards have been updated to support more comprehensive ways of inputting sequences.
Additionally, to improve the Amharic typing experience, Microsoft fully updated the Amharic keyboard so that you can now input compositions more comfortably.
Microsoft Edge
Windows 10 build 17046 also includes a new updated version of Microsoft Edge, and in this release, the web browser introduces options to save and automatically fill your preferred information in addresses and related forms. When filling in fields on a form, such as an address or other contact information, Edge will ask you to save your form information. Then, later on, you can simply select the preferred information from a drop-down menu to complete all the related fields.
Other improvements
In the Activity history page, the Settings app now lets you view and manage activity history, which Cortana uses to let you pick up where you left off.
The application of acrylic in the touch keyboard to better align with the fluent design standards.

Although there are no ISO files for Windows 10 build 17046, the update is available immediately through the Fast ring for PCs and using the Skip Ahead option. This preview build will download and install automatically on your device, but you can always force the update from Settings > Update & security > Windows Update and clicking the Check for updates button.
